Thinking of things carefully – You will come to clearly see;
There’s a time for everything – As things are, then cease to be;
Like how I was once quite young – Back when life had just begun;
Tryin’ to walk – talking some – Crawling down among the crumbs;
Now my childhood’s just a was – A brain memory, with fuzz;
Once I was in high school too – A slim, shy and awkward dude;
In the year 1992 – Many classmates, harsh and cruel;
But now, 90’s high school’s gone – An era that has passed on;
My dark-blonde and wavy hair – Has reclined, over the years;
I was handsome – now I’m old – I was athletic and bold;
I was on a tennis team – Being a lawyer was my dream;
Cute Melissa was my flame – Then she dumped me – oh the pain!;
Saturn was the car I drove – It exploded on the road;
All these things are wases too – With time, they faded from view;
Just a thought – to ponder on;
All that you now gaze upon;
Will be a was, before long;
