I’ve grown to enjoy writing poems – A fun that was, before, unknown;

Writing just seemed like such a bore – Thinking of words, too much a chore;

But as is true with anything – Word-ease has come by practicing;

By writing poems more and more – I’ve upped my writing skills galore;

And I hope that my skills with words – Has brought some fun to you, reader;

Blogging has brought me so much cheer – I’d like to make it my career;

I guess it’s true with anything – The key to growth is repeating;

Each time we act, that groove of brain – Is reinforced, more deep engrained;

That which we do, grows easier – That which we don’t – distant, less clear;

Our mind patterns are use or lose – The key: repeat what strengthens you;

Habits are essential in life – They can cause joy or lots of strife.
