I spied this Salsify – While on a hike;

Way up high;

I drew nigh – To vie;

For a closer sight;

Of the Salsify;

I wondered why – The Salsify;

Thrives – at such Heights;

Its so dry – The land that lies;

Around the sides – Of the Salsify;

I should try – To eye;

More herbs – Like;

The Salsify!
