How do you do – Mr. Long-billed Curlew;

Out in the field – Searching for meals;

Why is your bill – So very long;

Does it help you – Through the mud, prong;

Good you don’t live – In Bird York City;

Taking the subway – Would not be pretty;

Your snout would take – Up too much space;

Pushing bird passengers – Out of the way;

Also, you could not – Be an astro-naught;

With that large beak – You’d cause a leak;

In the space-ship – Poking holes in it;

So, it’s good that you – Live in the country;

Where there are open – Spaces, a-plenty;

Nature de-selected you – From city life;

It’s just as well – Cities have crime.
