The Pelican and the Great Blue Heron;

They make a rather attractive pairen’;

Swimming in winter’s cold is darin’;

But they both seem to be quite well-fairen’;

Attractive feathers, they both are wearin’;

I wonder at what they each are starin’;

The cold winter weather they both are sharin’;

The frigid cold they’re bravely bearin’;

Hope you don’t mind me with you sharin’;
