The rough legged hawk – Spreading his wings;
Excited for challenges – This day will bring;
Ready to fly – Noble and strong;
Flight plan prepared – Nil can go wrong;
No fear of heights – Troubles this hawk;
He’s quite content – Standing on top;
Foreboding clouds – Mix with the fun;
Air turbulence – Bothers him none;
Why are Earth’s creatures – So very brave?;
Worries don’t seem to – Stand in their way;
No way I’d stand on top of this stick;
Fear would prevent me from doing it;
Sometimes I want – A wildlife brain;
Less fear, sadness or – Emotional pain;
These creatures live – One day at a time;
Future or past – Never troubles their mind;
Mindfulness masters – Living today;
Accepting life’s handouts – Joy, come what may.

A touching poetic narrative to accompany such a beautiful watercolor-like photo.

Thank you 🙏. I’ve thought maybe I could trim the blog into a photo poetry book eventually. Maybe at least my kids might read it. 🤔
