My new lucky penny – Shining a-plenty;

Polished and new – Pleasant to view;

Can a coin change my fate? – Or is all luck just fake?

I’ll admit, I’m irate – Luck’s been lacking of late;

For my car hit a deer – To my eye, brought a tear;

And I’ve had no promotion – at work for 14 years!

This coin might help – Change the bad hands I’m dealt;
