The Burrowing Owl – Waits for his new house;
Under constructions – ‘Till then he pouts;
Milling about – Wondering how;
Long he’s without – His dwelling, stout;
Causing some doubt – If he must crouch;
Under the ground – In his old house;
With his friend mouse – With whom he jousts;
Sometimes, dust clouds – Fill up his snout;
He’d like to flout – His brand new house;
To the owl crowd – Along his route;
That’s why he wants – His new house now.
