Eastern Fox Squirrel

The Eastern Fox Squirrel 🐿️ – Why is it called that?;

The east is quite far – From where I am at;

Out here in the west – Among mountain peaks;

Wonder how this squirrel – Got here from the east?;

And it does not even – Look like a fox 🦊;

I think that somehow – The wrong name, it got;

A fox cannot balance – On branches of trees;

Like this squirrel obviously – Does easily;

And I think an eastern – Fox would be red;

Unlike this swift squirrel – That is brown instead;

Squirrel’s the only part of – It’s name that makes sense;

Whoever named it – Must make word penance.
